David Bibby is an Cloud Lead at a global IT services provider. He has over 15 years experience in the technology sector and has a particular interest in cloud, storage, virtualisation and automation using primarily AWS and VMware products.

David is an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (2023), VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP-CMA 2022), 2x VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV 2020 and VCP-CMA 2022) and a SNIA Certified Storage Architect (SCSA 2019).

As a long time hobbyist programmer, he enjoys scripting in Python, BASH and JavaScript, and uses these skills in his professional life, in his Home Assistant home automation system, and to contribute to a small number of open source projects.

A husband and father to two boys, he gets to enjoy plenty of LEGO, cycling and walking, and is an active STEM Ambassador and school governor.
